I'd check in w/you and let you know we LOVE little Pearl (who we've
decided to call Maddie). She is just as cute as can possibly be and she
seems to love us too. We've had so much fun playing w/her &
watching her chase her mouse toys and see her run across the room like
a banchee! She seems to know she's found her forever home. She met our social dog today and it was down right funny. She stood her ground, puffed herself up and went after our dog. He turned and ran away! Our 100 lb watch dog scarred off by our 5 lb adorable little Maddie!!I have a feeling that once they get used to each other, they'll be good friends! We've already taken oodles of photos of her and got a fun video of her playing tonight. Thank you again so much for the gift of our little cuddle bug (who is cracking me up as I write this. She's tearing around the room and just landed on the top of her kitty condo and is peeking out at me to see if I'm watching!) Oh I love her! All the best, Wendy Faith gathers strength by waiting and praying. -E. M. Bounds | ![]() |
![]() | This update was sent from Amy......looks like Mary Margaret has settled into her new forever home................ I thought you would enjoy Mary's latest "Super Model" pictures. ;-) She's a doll! |

is Bonnie, she was found a mile east of York and her ears had frozen
and they actually fell off while I was fostering her. Makes me so happy
to know that she has her forever home and is greatly loved. Bonnie's owner sent this recent update.......wanted to share: You never know with her. Coffee pot was on. I call this one, "does this coffee pot make my butt look big?" She and I have now been together for 3 years. I can't thank you enough. Can't imagine life without her... | ![]() |

(previously Juno, because the 'no' at the end made her question herself
in her bew home) is flourishing with us. She loves her brother Tucker
and they play all day! She loves to explore smells of our rare seen but
well cared and loved cat, Ki-Ki and she loves to watch my beloved bird,
Alvie! We are such a happy family! With the weather being so beautiful
the pups have found they love to roll in the dirt and work on digging
holes together in the backyard. :) Chelsey From our Facebook Page |
| I just want to let you know that Teddy, now
renamed Briggs, is doing really well! The first night it was hard for him to
settle down even after 6 hours of exercise. However, the next day is pacing soon
subsided after some more running. We are able to let both Max and Briggs run
around free on our farm without them running away. Briggs hasn't gotten lots of
exercise and is almost a brand new dog. He doesn't jump up on people, he listens
to his commands, and is learning new commands! He does have some challenges to
overcome though. He isn't very confident with the bath, stairs, or riding in
cars. The stairs obstacle is getting better and there is less and less whinning
going up and down. The bath is a different story. We attempted one bath
which prooved to be something that would take awhile to get comfortable
with. Any tips with bath time? I have attached some photos so you could see how
he is doing. We have introduced him to my dad's female lab puppy, and has
gone really well. Meeting new people hasn't been as hard we thought. We have
found that if we bring our guests in and sit down, Briggs will go up to them at
his own pace. As soon as someone scratches him on the rear, they are buds
forever! It still takes a few minutes for him to warm up to someone, but it has
gotten quicker with each visit. Thank you for giving us the chance to adopt Briggs/Teddy. He has been a great addition to our family! Maddie and Roby

Dave and I would like to thank you for you and your
staff’s hospitality when we visited your wonderful facility last
Monday. “Andy”, as you can see, was so thankful to be adopted. He fits
right in with our lifestyle, and we already love him. He has the run
of the house and sleeps at the foot of our bed, from the very first
night. Thank you so much and I’ll send pics every now and
then. We are thinking of changing his name to “Sunny”, but haven’t
decided as of yet. Again, we appreciate you and your staff opening the doors for us on Monday. |

08-04-2011 Hi Everyone! Well I keep thinking I will send you an update on our little Chino but haven't gotten it done. We adopted one of two sisters (my oldest son and his girlfriend adopted her sister and they get together to play all the time!). Ours was one of several beautiful calico kittens brought in after they were found in a box, abandoned on a country road right around Christmas time. They were gorgeous but a bit scrawny and needing good homes. We adopted this little girl and changed her name from Selba Jean (her kennel name) to Cappuccino. We call her Chino for short. I have to tell you that I was little worried when we took her in for her first vet checkup and found that she had some respiratory problems. With great vet care, time and lots of love, our skinny little runt has become a healthy, happy, chubby diva cat! My son absolutely loves her and they are pretty much inseparable around the house. Chino naps on his bed most of the day and gets up long enough to play or eat! If I stop long enough to sit or lay on the couch, she is in my lap and ready for some attention. I can't imagine our house without her and just wanted to thank you for rescuing our Chino and her littermates. She is truly a loved little cat :) Kim B.

| 07-13-2011 I adopted Max (formerly Gus) about 3 1/2 years ago. He had such a heartbreaking story that I couldn't resist! After several attempts, he was finally caught under a vehicle in the freezing cold. He had been adopted out, but he must have not liked his new home very much, because he somehow made his way back to LaMoine's place. He came up to me right away and started meowing and rubbing against me. Little did I know, his meow would be one of the loudest I've ever heard! And trust me, he uses it quite frequently. When I first got Max, I couldn't hold him for 2 seconds before he was out of my arms and scurrying across the house. Now, he is the first one to jump on my lap and curl up! He has made such amazing progress over the past few years. I am so thankful every day that I have him in my life. Thank you all so much for what you do. You make such a difference. You have definitely made a difference in both of our lives. Sincerely, Jessica | |
| 04-1-2011 We are enjoying our new cats very much. Also, I am so glad we didn't split up the boys because they are such a complete pair. We named the boys Phineas and Ferb (after the cartoon of course) Phineas has the shorter hair and Ferb is the longer haired one. Angela is now Tabitha and although she was super shy to begin with, she has really come around and is spending more and more time upstairs with the rest of us. This week she has been playing with the other cats and they are showing her how to have a good time with a paper bag! So I am officially a crazy cat lady! Leo and Eli have been having so much fun with them and actually think they are training them-ha ha. Anyway, Have a great weekend and thanks for all you do for the Adopt a Pet animals our lives wouldn't be the same without them! Amy, Carl, Leo and Eli | ![]() |

| 02-26-2011 To all my Pals: Hey remember me, I’m that big old Tommy cat. Well I’m finally settled in my new home. I’ve got the old people trained pretty well. They figured out if I rattle a door knob that means I want in that room or out of it. I have a big brother, a saint Bernie or something like that, and a little sister, I’m not sure if I’m supposed to eat her or what, she’s a rat terry or close to that. What ever she’s old so I leave her alone. But that saint bernie is fun I follow him all over and jump on his back to get to something else, he’s always trying to hide from me but he’s not hard to find. The old lady here got me a new poop box cause I didn’t fit in the other one anymore, this one is really nice & big. She also calls me her lover kitty, see I really do have them brainwashed and trained. I hope you guys are doing good and make sure you the ask the adoptive parents if they have a saint bernie, they give you something to do all day. Then you can sleep on the old man at nap time and the old womans pillow at night. Speaking of a nap it’s time for my cat nap, so keep your ears clean and remember your manners, scratch after you poop. I’ll sign the old womans name. Shela | ![]() |

01/07/2010 My husband and I adopted from you about a year ago, and I just wanted to give you an update on Zoey. :) We LOVE her to death, and she's very healthy! I just wanted to send you a picture of what she looks like now. Thanks so much! Katie (from Kansas City) |
